My approach to individual therapy
I take a collaborative approach when working with individuals. I believe that therapy is a joint process between the therapist and client. At times, it may be necessary for the therapist to challenge clients in order to facilitate change, growth, and learning. I ensure that I am walking alongside clients in their journey, while also helping navigate a process of change and fulfillment.
My experience with individual therapy
I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with my Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Following my graduation, I relocated to Nashville where I continued to treat individuals in a private practice setting. I completed training in Brainspotting phase 1 which is a modality used for trauma, RO-DBT which is a modality used for “over-controlled” individuals, and DBT which is a modality used for “under-controlled” individuals. I continue to attend trainings, workshops, and read developing research in the field in order to provide quality therapy services.
